Teague Day Nurseries is a family run nursery company in Lincolnshire. We have a number of different settings offering children aged 6 weeks to 8 years a unique and awe inspiring experience through quality Nursery and Preschool provisions, (inclusive of after school and holiday clubs).
Education is the key to unlocking the world, a passport to freedom!
All our settings hold children at the heart of everything we do. We encompass a diverse approach to learning and are the home of:
Here at Teague Education we have developed our own 'approach' to education and care, featuring many different development and learning based theories, concepts, research and evidence bases. Our Every Child, Every Day ethos is completely unique and ever changing in each moment. We believe all children deserve a tailor made experience that matches their needs throughout their daily development journey. Every Moment is an opportunity to help our children grow, from adult influenced moments, child initiated moments, or those more discrete routine moments.
#EveryChildEveryDayEveryMoment
We encourage children to develop as a whole, ensuring they leave us 'Life Ready' with a fostered love of learning.
We use the Early Years Foundation Stage framework as a tool throughout our learning and development plans. ""The early years foundation stage ( EYFS ) sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old."" Please visit https://www.gov.uk/early-years-foundation-stage to find out more.
We believe learning can be categorised into 'Builders', learning blocks, that together help to form a substantial and infinite tower. Our role is to enable an environment where resources, staff interaction and crafted opportunities support these builders to their full potential.
Interest Builder - Enhancing the environment and activities through the children's interests. The first key to successful learning is engagement, what better way to engage a child than to follow what they love! Knowledge Builder - Children will only 'know' what they are exposed to. We believe in offering unique, curious, awe inspiring, imaginative and creative concepts to children. Why build blocks when you can build Stone Henge? Why just put a hat on when you can actually become Christopher Columbus? Skill Builder - Before children write, they must gain pre-writing skills, before children learn to vote, they must learn the value of their choice, before children experience a homely meal time, they must learn table manners. Application Builder - The ability to have interests, knowledge and skills that is so embedded it can be transferred and used in endless different situations. Being able to use tweezers to pick up corn flakes transferring to the pincer grip needed to tie a shoe lace. We ensure not only do the children have all they need to complete each early learning goal, but that they can use these in a variety of situations.
'Learning through play (1) is self-chosen and self-directed, (2) is motivated by means more than ends, (3) is guided by mental rules, and (4) includes a strong element of imagination.'
At Teague Day Nurseries it is through play that we support and encourage learning and development, continuously embedding concepts and ensuring that vital deeper understanding.
'Importantly, play that fosters social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development does not require expensive equipment, just an environment that allows for, or encourages, social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive processing.'
We believe in empowering our children through Risky Play. Climbing ladders, cooking on camp fires, using real tools and much more, our children learn to navigate through 'real world concepts'
'Risk allows children to push themselves to the limits of their capabilities and allows them space to progress. It also allows children to feel in control of their actions, learning and play; they learn boundaries in a safe, secure environment where they can be supported directly or indirectly by practitioners.'
We fully promote tolerance, diversity and perseverance through all our settings. Our age groups within the setting are named to encompass our key aims within social and emotional welfare.

Each setting has their very own 'friend' who joins in with activities and also goes on 'Home Holidays' with the children - Parent partnership is of utmost importance to us as we recognise parents and guardians are children's first real educators.
Each setting uses 'Tapestry' as their parent communication App. This App allows members of the family to share in the children's moments of wonder and pure enjoyment whilst ensuring nominated parents have a clear understanding of the child's current development age and stage. Through the 'care diary' it also allows for direct and immediate communication on all aspects of care, (accident forms, sleep routines, food logs etc),
